Iron Raven. Fuel reprocessing problem.

I've picked up an item of experimental fuel from Aarzari and I have flown to Releleat with it to get it irradiated. However, I have forgotten how to do this. My mission instruction reads "Irradiate the fuel sample and dispose of it at the waste processing facility in Releleat. Can anyone tell me what to do next?

Irradiation: drop it close to the sun, then scoop it up again when it tells you it's ready. It takes a while...

Disposal: drop it into the facility (should be on your compass). Aim it carefully...

Thank you cim. Excuse me for being a bit slow on this one. I irradiated the sample OK according to your advice and I scooped it and went right up to the fuel processing facility and fired it into the opening. I now get a black and red flashing object in the field of view which is impossible to identify or scoop up because it is travelling so fast. Is this what is supposed to happen. I don't want to save the game at this stage if it will introduce complications.

Not sure. It's been a while since I played this mission, but I don't remember anything like that. You might be best saving the game with a different filename and carrying on. If it's worked out okay you should get a news report in a little while.
