And I guess it doesn't matter that Apple instituted a supplier responsibility program which they report on publicly wrt underage labour and overtime. It probably also doesn't matter that they managed to get 99% compliance just recently. Neither Dell nor HP do this, by the way.

And that the whole argument is somewhat backwards is probably equally pointless to point out. The ones to hate are the management of the producer and the local authorities. And if you want to hate someone on the client side then the COO who optimized the supply chains most likely had a lot more say in who to work with than a product focused CEO. COO at the time was Tim Cook, now CEO.

I'm no apple fanboi, but that whole foxconn thing is bull.

first, as other peopel pointed out foxconn is a huuuuge manufacturere and virtually every hi-tech company is a client.

Second, their average suicide number (while unacceptably high, ) is actually *lower* than comparable firms. Look it up.

IDE headers in motherboards. DVI plugs and sockets. Most d plugs.

He used his wealth to get himself bumped to the top of the transplant list, so a poor person missed out. I hope he's far from peaceful. I won't even get into the way he treated the real brains behind Apple, Steve Wozniak.

This is about much more than suicides.. suicides are merely a symptom. This is about employees locked in dormitories when not working, shocking food/water and hygiene issues, women forcibly given contraceptive pills every day, and more. Look it up.

Hey, DDT is not something to joke about - my dad grew up in Beverly on the southside of Chicago. They would seasonally come spray the street sides with DDT, while kids were out on them!

Imagine, cities, streets, filled with raw hydrocarbon smoke belching from hundreds of thousands of individual vehicles, people actually walking around in that atmosphere without breathing masks, my gosh!
