Just shrinking it a little might have sufficed..
Most games have some sort of paddling-pool-and-water-wings beginning to ease you in: Oolite takes the rather more Darwinian approach of heaving you straight into the ocean, often with a brick or two in your pockets for luck. ~ Disembodied

Quick input regarding pictures in signatures.
I agree with the principle that we stay with guidelines and don't make hard rules for this.
I would suggest guidelines that recommends that signature are no larger than: 310 wide x 100 high (Hight is less important).
The more common resolutions for smart phones over the last three or four years are:
QVGA (320×240)
HVGA (480×320)
WVGA (800×480)
and higher with the lower resolutions quickly being discontinued.
Limiting to 310 pixels wide allows pretty much everybody with a smart phone to read the forum in landscape mode without sideways scrolling to see the whole message. People with a newer phone will be able to read the forum in portrait mode.

Removed my banner sig as well. I may play around with some graphics at some point, but simple words will do for now.
