A couple of times recently I've been in a battle and either forced somebody to eject and then gone after the escape pod before returning to blow up the ship and scoop cargo, I figure I'll keep the cargo in one place while I go 'rescue' it's owner.
It's fun to go back to a dead ship and blast it at my leisure. Once, once the dust settled and I found myself able to dispose of a Mussurano (sp?) at my leisure I thought I'd shoot it with my mining laser and see if it'll yield more alloys or cargo. I didn't, does anybody else think it'd be cool if it did? This would be great with pirate coves, you could get oodles of gold and gemstones stockpiled from years of plunder.
Jolly good show,

Hmmm, you're right. It would be good if pirate coves yielded some cargo. After all, you can dock and buy stuff there... Alas the author of the pirate coves oxp (lazygun) has been AWOL from these boards for quite some time.Cmdr Monte wrote:It's fun to go back to a dead ship and blast it at my leisure. It is generally inadvisable to eject over the target you just bombed.
Ditto for the HoOpy Casino ship. Lots of gems in the back room. And they alway seem to pay top dollar (credit) for Alien items. I think that they are trying to build a Thargoid Carrier. But they certainly should yeild half of their commodities when they are disposed of.
