Just thought that I would post an update of progress (Still more to do but the OXP is coming together nicely).

Regarding the ship size and escape pod issue I have decided to make the ship 120m long with the escape pod consisting of the front section of the ship (Which will be non scoopable due to it size).

ShipBuilder, that is awesome. Really nice job. I think I fell short with the Comet.













Someone else may want to take a shot at texturing it. I've done all I can do, and Thargoid was right (of course), I couldn't totally smooth out the ribs on the globe sections. Bummer.

Somebody should put together a battle arena OXP, where you can put two NPCs with adjusted accuracy in certain ships against each other... and then watch the show.
Why, you ask? Because I want to see the Fireball XL5 and the Comet in deadly combat against each other!

Hey, the more I think of it, the more I like that idea!! Would be a great OXP... somewhat similar (but still different) to the feudal world duels, as you can watch. I actually like watching other ships fight as long as it's fair

Nice looking ships guys and seeing as there's show and tell moments, just thought I'd update on The Odyssey.

Couple of shots of her in a test OXP with a basic texture and the iris roughly pasted on the top.


And it being dwarfed by the station.


I still need to work on the size, laser positions and engine positions.

Guess I need to go change my lightsaber colour to red now.
