The Death Star is alive!

Post by Commander McLane »

As we all know, the White House sadly rejected the petition to build a Death Star. :(

But there's New Hope! Now the Brits have to do it, and they're using the unstoppable Force of Kickstarter.

The initial plans look promising, and the financial breakdown seems realistic.

They also have as of this writing more than £57,000 already raised.

Genius.

I like the stretch goal - although I calculate every person on the planet (est. 7Bn of us) would need to pledge US$121.43M each!

I wonder if anyone has worked a con on Kickstarter yet? Dream-up a vaguely plausible project, set a reasonable target - if you hit it, take the money and run!
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

At a rough guess.. 21 posts ago?
Most games have some sort of paddling-pool-and-water-wings beginning to ease you in: Oolite takes the rather more Darwinian approach of heaving you straight into the ocean, often with a brick or two in your pockets for luck. ~ Disembodied

'Two to the fighting eighth power!' Though I've heard talk that the true Elite, forum-wise, is 6400 posts.
