Thunderbirds are Go! again.
It seems that a re-boot of Thunderbirds is happening. A good idea? Time will tell, I suppose.

Re: Thunderbirds are Go! again.
I'm skeptical - I only found out about Thunderbirds recently, and Dizzy and I were talking about some other attempts to re-create the show. While I've only seen one episode, I don't think it's capable of being topped
.
(I'd really like to see more now, so if anyone knows where to find the complete series on-line, I'd be greatly obliged

Captain Scarlet was better than Thunderbirds, I reckon. How well Thunderbirds would translate to CGI... I don't know!
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

Re: Thunderbirds are Go! again.
Never heard of Captain Scarlet, but looking it up it looks similar to Thunderbirds. I still think Thunderbirds is cooler with all the ships, especially since I had a toy similar to this one as a kid which I got at a garage sale back in the early 80's (and of course, not knowing what a cool show it came fromEl Viejo wrote:Captain Scarlet was better than Thunderbirds, I reckon. I don't know "Thunderbirds", so at first I thought "Smivs wrote:It seems that a re-boot of Thunderbirds is happening. A good idea? Time will tell, I suppose.

But since you guys talk so much about the show, I am curious... I guess I'll have to check it out!

Neat article ZygoUgo - seems like a viable alternative, let's see if it can "take off"ZygoUgo wrote:Thunderbird 2 on its way for real?!

Seems like mandoman was ahead of the game
It would make a lot of sense for gas elevated vehicles for planetary lifting duties, up into orbit. Maybe we could do with a few variations of lifter to join the shuttles and transporters.
But then I guess surface to station trading in this manner depends on the relative inflation rates.

I just hope if they reboot it that they do a better job than that god-awful film a few years back.
