Those are the only four which seem likely to be messing with the manifest in a way that might cause a problem. Could you see if the problem still occurs with those four removed (and if it doesn't, swap them round until you can track it down) please?

It's not Flight Log - the two uses of "manifest" in there are one in a GUI_SCREEN_MANIFEST line (ie referring to the F5 screen) and the other in a comment just after it and referring back to it. It is one of the false positives I mentioned before.

The only occurrance of the word manifest in marketObserver is a comment line which refers to setting instructions to player's manifest screen.

I don't think it is the hyper cargo being I do not have that currently in use on my ship and the cargo incinerator uses of manifest target specifically gold, platinum and gem stones.

Ah, I think I see what it might be, and why it may only happen to you at some stations some of the time. I think it will only happen if you press F1 while you're on the F8 screen (which, presumably, you never do at main stations?)

If that seems to be the cause, then here's yet another updated script which should fix it (debug still enabled in case it doesn't). If that works for you as well, I'll do a release.

(There's an bug I introduced in the 1.77 core here, too, I think - presumably why this never came up before)

Thank you for the updated script. I might buy cargoes from the F8 page and then F1 to launch when at an OXP station being I can't F2 save there.

Using trunk 5631 and this new script, new cargoes ceases to function. The new cargoes option no longer appears on the F4 option page.

I can confirm the F8 to F1 bug. I was able to reproduce the disappearing cargoes effect using the original cargo script at will and while at a main system station. I viewed the F8 commodities page, F1 to launched and the new cargoes disappeared every time on multiple occasions. I tried doing this from the other view screens with no ill effect. It seemed only to occur when viewing F8 and then launching on F1.

Thank you for your patience in tracking this down. I'll fix up the script and trunk tonight. (In the meantime, at least you have a workaround)

Re: [RELEASE] New Cargoes OXP (1.2.2 released 4 February 201

Post by cim »

1.2.2 is now out (download links updated). If you are using 1.2.0 or 1.2.1 you should upgrade urgently to prevent potential cargo loss. If you aren't able to upgrade just yet, then never launch from a station while the F8 screen is up.

Many thanks to Solonar for finding this one and helping to track it down.

While using trunk 5632 and New Cargoes 1.2.2 and while in Galaxy 2:

The Special Cargoes menu option does not appear in the F4 screen of OXP stations. It appears only in the main stations.

The Trader Net newsies are not displaying commodity listings in Galaxy 2. Only the Galaxy 2 regional messages are being displayed in the newsies.

What's the contents of your cargotypeextension_regional mission variable in your savegame?
