I was a big fan of the silver ball when I was a kid. Hours and hours spent in cafes and arcades.
I really miss the Pinball in Win 7 (MS couldn't be bothered to code a 64-bit version, it seems).

Multi-player Pinball?
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills

That shouldn't stop you from installing a 32-bit version .El Viejo wrote:I was a big fan of the silver ball when I was a kid. Hours and hours spent in cafes and arcades.

As it happens, I was looking around this evening - Pinball from XP is available from third-party sources.

- see, you just gotta do a little diggin' and not take "no" for an answer . 32-bit programs can run on 64-bit architectures, but not so much the other way round (i.e. 64-bit application on 32-bit architecture).El Viejo wrote:As it happens, I was looking around this evening - Pinball from XP is available from third-party sources.

Reason I hadn't thought about it 'til today is I've been distracted by Win 7's Chess for the last few weeks.

Nice! I've got Dreamchess, but I haven't really played it yet - [still] too distracted with Oolite .El Viejo wrote:Reason I hadn't thought about 'til today is I've been distracted by Win 7's Chess for the last few weeks.

Likewise, but I think I've only played one game with it..CommRLock78 wrote:Nice! I've got Dreamchess, but I haven't really played it yet - [still] too distracted with Oolite .El Viejo wrote:Reason I hadn't thought about 'til today is I've been distracted by Win 7's Chess for the last few weeks.
And Warzone 2100 which I still haven't even fired up.
Most games have some sort of paddling-pool-and-water-wings beginning to ease you in: Oolite takes the rather more Darwinian approach of heaving you straight into the ocean, often with a brick or two in your pockets for luck. ~ Disembodied

I've played warzone a few times now - it's pretty good. There are a slew of games I've installed but haven't played though. Why bother when the best game of all is at your fingertips? <shuffles off to get a new Feudal Mission >Diziet Sma wrote:Likewise, but I think I've only played one game with it..CommRLock78 wrote:Nice!
