Moon Hoax Not
This had me chuckling... it's rather good.
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills

Yes, if the hoax is true then what is required for that hoax to be true?
All theories have to stand up to critical examination. The hoax is coming up a touch short in the evidence department.

Re: Moon Hoax Not
I am always wondering how the different branches of Moon conspiracy theorists get along with each other.
So, on YouTube (for instance) we have those who claim that NASA never went to the Moon in the first place, and we have—just a couple of clicks away—those who claim the the astronauts encountered huge alien artifacts on the Moon and NASA is covering it up. What does the first group of nutjobs think about the second group, and vice versa? And how many people are out there who actually believe both (yes, the sheer possibility of that boggles the mind; but so does the amount of human stupidity )?

Re: Moon Hoax Not
Well, there is a subset who think we went to the moon a couple of times, but were warned off by the aliens, and when we ignored the warnings, Apollo 13 was crippled by a UFO as a lesson. After which, the remaining missions were faked, as NASA had already publicly committed to them. After which, we limited ourselves to low Earth orbit, and unmanned probes..Commander McLane wrote:What does the first group of nutjobs think about the second group, and vice versa? So yes, in a sense, there is a group that believe both theories.

Re: Moon Hoax Not
There's even a story that Armstrong heard the adhan, or Muslim call to prayer, when he stepped out onto the moon, and that he converted to Islam because of it (the story usually goes that he didn't recognise the adhan at first, but on a later visit to Egypt he heard it coming from a minaret, realised that it was the same sound that he heard on the moon, and then became a Muslim). Frankly it's no wackier than any of the rest of this sort of guff, although at least some Islamic scholars have issued a fatwa declaring this particular bit of nonsense to be nonsense.
What I don't understand is the requirement to take something wonderful, like the moon landings, and then demand that they be jazzed up with added aliens (or supernatural beings) on top. We might as well claim that Armstrong met Tintin up there, or Dante's Beatrice.
