I was looking at the Powers and Organisations Page:

To be honest it is a bit of a mess now.

I have the following points:

- Some powers and organizations are not only in Galaxy one but are spread across multiple galaxies
Bank of Black Monks have monasteries in all galaxies
- There are far more organizations than are in the list

What is not clear is that some organizations come in the core game and the other are added by OXP's. This needs to be clearer.
So has anyone a good idea on how we reorganize this page?

I can provide you with a list and description of all the organizations I made up. But I do it tomorrow.
If each OXP author post their organizations/corporations along with a short description of their HQ and Planet etc.. in this thread then it will be easier.

For reasons of design and readability I'm not happy with major text informations presented in tables. I find it dog-ugly and not pleasing to read.

Alternative suggestion: Above or below the "Notable organizations of Gal n"-block simply make another headline with "Organizations spanning multiple galaxies", and move things like the Black Monks over there.

The obvious fragmentary character of the page is a result of it being mainly used by LittleBear, and nobody else, by the way.

Taxi Galactica now spans all the galaxies, not just Galaxy 1. It's also not on a Teaser release - that was released in 2008! I will update later when I get home, forgot I'd even written that!

I've done a new table, without all the text, here. I think its much cleaner and you can sort by galaxy to see what organisations are in your particular galaxy.

I still need to add in more organisations, perhaps linking to the text for each on the page.

The new table works good. I think thats the way to go. One point though. Also the Lavian Flight Academy is Galaxy wide. There are Acadamy centers all over the eight.

Well only if you change the OXPConfig setting for it. As standard you just get one at Lave.

Actually, as standard, I think you get one per galaxy. I know I've never messed with the OXPConfig settings, and I was a little surprised when I came across one in G2.

In core Oolite there is only one Academy, at Lave. That's why we all start there.

Edited to add:- Having had a look at the page my first thought is that it should start with a section for organisations covering all eight galaxies, such as (the obvious ones!) GalCop and HIMSN from the core game, and Ooniverse-wide OXP organisiations such as the Xeptatl Society and Galactic Navy.
Then a breakdown of those specific to individual Galaxies would seem appropriate.
