It seems that there is no 1.77 test release for Mac yet. The link under Oolite 1.77-test on BerliOS goes to the same sourceforge download as the deployment download link on oolite.org.
When will the OXPers version be made available?

Probably within a few days. But, today this probably will still be the same as trunk, so you could download the tonights nighty.

Re: 1.77 test for Mac
Great news, I'll be looking forward to it when I return from my current business trip
Could someone please update the Oolite entry on MacUpdate (http://macupdate.com/app/mac/15391/oolite)? It is still listed as version 1.75.3.

Re: 1.77 test for Mac
1.77 is mend as intermediate test release, but MacUpdate should at least mention 1.76.1 as the current release as that is the official stable one. And probably we will have a stable 1.78 soon.maik wrote:Could someone please update the Oolite entry on MacUpdate (http://macupdate.com/app/mac/15391/oolite)? It is still listed as version 1.75.3.
Another_Commander: Thanks for setting up the download links for the mac test release on Berlios.
And as mentioned in the documentation, the minimum Mac version has been raised to 10.5. 10.4 (Tiger) is no longer supported. And as advise: If your mac is connected to the internet, you should upgrade to minimal 10.6, because there are no longer security patches released for 10.5 or older.

Sure, other projects link to test versions as related downloads so that both stable and test releases are available from the project page. Is one of you guys in contact with aegidian? I believe he "owns" the macupdate.com project page...Eric Walch wrote:1.77 is mend as intermediate test release, but MacUpdate should at least mention 1.76.1 as the current release as that is the official stable one. Re: 1.77 test for Mac
I've just installed oolite-trunk-1.77.1.5626-dev, so I can enjoy the new version.
Are there any enhancements in the graphics-engine? Version 1.76.1 shows the maximum of 59 fps, this dev-version 99 to 103, same configuration, no OXPs. Is this a bug or a real improovement?
Martin

Re: 1.77 test for Mac
In windowed mode you already had 100 fps as maximum. I assume the full screen was limited to 60 because that was the screen refresh rate. From display point of view, there was no reason to go higher as you would not see the difference. But, collision calculations etc benefit from the higher rate.Teschnertron wrote:Version 1.76.1 shows the maximum of 59 fps, this dev-version 99 to 103, same configuration, no OXPs. The whole full screen thing is completely rewritten by Ahruman. I never had problems with the old 'full screen' but now I don't want to go back. (The old full screen mode is only used on OSX 10.5 or on OSX 10.6 when you launch Oolite in 32 bit mode)
