Hehe, totally bonkers! The US govt won't do that, but some nutters with a 3D printer will probably crowd-source it

I like it that Captain Solo is commenting on a petition to build a Death Star.

A guy with the name of "jacksy" supports exhaust vents. Interesting.

Re: A New Hope for the Obama Administration?
I am sure we would use radiators, anyways. Shipping water up there to use as coolant and vent as exhaust would get rather pricy. (Also wouldn't IBCMs be more of a risk than absurdly small fighters?) Of course, I don't see why we don't simply recreate GDI's ion cannon satellite network except with hyper-velocity rod bundles. It would be cheaper and we would get to keep the planet. Though it would be hilariously ironic in a grim darkean evil twin of Terry Pratchet/Douglas Adams way if humanity were to wipe itself out by destroying it's own home planet with a superlaser. And just top things off, we could all sing Always Look On The Bright Side of Life and snack on peanuts right before the end comes.Smivs wrote:Nah!jacksy wrote:you think we should tell em about exhaust vents?
p.s. (Before anyone says I am being a killjoy by noting the price of putting water in orbit, note I refrained from asking where we are supposed to get the resources for such a large station? And whether you have noticed that we are in a recession?)
