Okay then I wait till you've got those done. No hurry but I want to point new users to the combined sets instead of the old FP 2.5. package.
Of course this process would be much quicker if people who are running the current Povray Planets galaxy 2 can report any obviously wrong texture/description planets in the Problem Povray Planets thread https://bb.oolite.space/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=11697

Ok I will look at Galaxy 2 this weekend and report some strange combinations in that thread.
Ok as promised this afternoon I checked the povray sets for Galaxy 2 with FP included in the set) I checked all 256 planets.
You can read my findings in the Povray problem thread.
May I really (again) give my compliments. Some very lovely textures you made for some planets.
I unsuccessfully tried to download the texture pack for Galaxy 3 a couple of times over the past few days.
I guess I'll spend some more time in Galaxy 2.
I've removed any mention of it from the OXP List wiki page or the Sensible Tweaks thread here, but my stand-in config file that maps the G1 textures to G3 is still on the Box.
Interesting idea.. the only (potential) problem I can see is dealing with updates.
Most games have some sort of paddling-pool-and-water-wings beginning to ease you in: Oolite takes the rather more Darwinian approach of heaving you straight into the ocean, often with a brick or two in your pockets for luck. ~ Disembodied
