Ooliteers Planet - An Interactive Pinmap

Post by CommRLock78 »

A new map has been created by Selezen here.

So, Selezen found an alternative to doing a poll on PinMaps. Be forewarned that the site is a bit touchy. Note my quote at the bottom if you're having trouble seeing the map, as at this point, it's the only thing I know to do.

I found an alternative for it, called PinMaps. Still have to register an account, but here's a suggestion. I have registered an account, and I don't mind sharing the login information. The map can be found at http://www.pinmaps.net/map/11810/oolite/oolite-users

The log in is "Oolite"
The password is the same word in lowercase with bbs at the end. If anyone has problems working that out, please PM me.

It's a pretty feature packed little tool, actually. Let me know if it's a good thing to use.

For some reason when you first login the map isn't available, but at the top, if you click "sample maps" and then click back on "my maps" it will show :D.

Just click on Oolite, then My Maps!

Six of one and half a dozen of the other :P.

Either way, the map does not show up to start, so be aware.

Entertaining spot you put your marker, EV..

Ok, I'm on there now.

What are thoughts on making this thread a 'sticky' ?

Why not? And might a more appropriate title be in order as well?

Probably so ;) (I had named it "Where in the world 2", so that people would make the connection between it and the original thread that Shipbuilder started). How about "Oolite Players World Pin Map" :?:

Yes, I realise it 'grew' from the other thread, but it has taken off well and has a distinct character and purpose now.
"Oolite Players World Pin Map" is a bit cumbersome but I honestly can't think of anything better :)

Ooliteers Planet - An Interactive Pinmap :?: I think pinmap should be in there somewhere, that way people know what the thread is for ;)
