So, Selezen found an alternative to doing a poll on PinMaps. Be forewarned that the site is a bit touchy. Note my quote at the bottom if you're having trouble seeing the map, as at this point, it's the only thing I know to do.

For some reason when you first login the map isn't available, but at the top, if you click "sample maps" and then click back on "my maps" it will show .

Yes, I realise it 'grew' from the other thread, but it has taken off well and has a distinct character and purpose now.
"Oolite Players World Pin Map" is a bit cumbersome but I honestly can't think of anything better
