I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills

Still could have been worse, I hear his twin sister showed up to bail him out. Her names Buffm.

Wouldn't it be cool if Snoopers had a news feed on your escape-capsule-scoopees?

Now that is just gorgeous!
Most games have some sort of paddling-pool-and-water-wings beginning to ease you in: Oolite takes the rather more Darwinian approach of heaving you straight into the ocean, often with a brick or two in your pockets for luck. ~ Disembodied

Yep! I'm a little perplexed by the clouds (?) in its upper atmosphere, though.Diziet Sma wrote:Now that is just gorgeous!
As for the rings - is anyone going to improve them (cim)? I think the shadowed section should obscure the background stars, yes?

Hmm, yes. I tracked down the bug which was causing clouds on planets with a provided texture to bunch up into a single starfish. For everything except gas giants it's probably an improvement, but it really doesn't work so well for gas giants where the cloud layer is already drawn on.El Viejo wrote:Yep! I'll look at adding some planetinfo settings for giving hints to the cloud generator.
If you look closely, it is - just not enough. I'm still fiddling around with the ring shader a bit. I much prefer this version close up, but it does end up looking a little sparse at range compared with the last one. Maybe I can get it to transition smoothly between the two as you close in...El Viejo wrote:I think the shadowed section should obscure the background stars, yes?

They definitely look better up close, as you say.cim wrote:... I much prefer this version close up, but it does end up looking a little sparse at range compared with the last one.
