Re: MandoTech Industries, Inc.
Nice, having a company page makes things easier for airheads like me.
Just picked up the Sunbat MkII... (an excellent name I must say ).

Re: MandoTech Industries, Inc.
The first step is to upload the pictures to the Wiki itself. Click on "Upload file" in the toolbox which is displayed at the left of each page. At the top of the upload form you find the instructions on how to link to the picture (which will make it appear on your page).mandoman wrote:I seem to be having some difficulty getting pictures to appear on my Wiki page. I got it to use links, but I haven't figured out how to put up the pics directly on the Wiki page. Working on it.
Re: MandoTech Industries, Inc.
I got that far. I managed to get five pictures uploaded to the Wiki, but I couldn't figure out how to liink them to my page so they would show as pictures there. I'll go back and take a closer look. Thanks Commander McLane.Commander McLane wrote:The first step is to upload the pictures to the Wiki itself. Click on "Upload file" in the toolbox which is displayed at the left of each page. Re: MandoTech Industries, Inc.
Images on the wiki need to be done like this
This will place it on the left side of the page, and make it 600px wide, but obviously you can change this to right etc and alter the size. It doesn't have to be a .jpg - .png is acceptable as well.
Code: Select all
[[Image:your-image.jpg|left|600px]]

Now you just need a link to your page in your sig..
Most games have some sort of paddling-pool-and-water-wings beginning to ease you in: Oolite takes the rather more Darwinian approach of heaving you straight into the ocean, often with a brick or two in your pockets for luck. ~ Disembodied

Not wishing to add more to your plate but just an aesthetic consideration... the screenshots on the page could do with a slight crop.
I see it was a mild 63 degrees on the sunday you took the screenshot of the sunbat...

Re: MandoTech Industries, Inc.
Yeah, I figured that this was just a practice run. I need to touch up all the pictures before I leave them on there for good. I'm trying now to figure out how to get that Picture/Stats window to the right of the screen, like I've seen so many others have. I'm a smooth one at this stuff, for sure.superbatprime wrote:Not wishing to add more to your plate but just an aesthetic consideration... the screenshots on the page could do with a slight crop.

*cogs turning*
I have a question (said the bat, in a cagey fashion)... what ship in your product line to you consider to be Mandotech's defining ship?
The ship that would be your flagship product?
The definitive Mandotech ship?
If you had to pick one.

Re: MandoTech Industries, Inc.
Man, that's a tricky one. I would probably say that it's either the Genesis, or the SolorWing. I would have said the SunBat, but I've so many ships since then, several that people seem to like much better than the SunBat, that I don't really see it as my flag ship. The absolute coolest, in my opinion, is the Pertra, folowed closely by the MT1024Explorer, and especially the Romulan Bird Of Prey. Only problem with the last two is that I didn't design them, per-say, I just kind of one-off copied them. The Genesis is probably the best of the bunch, even though the others are just as good, or better. That sure is a difficult question to answer.superbatprime wrote:*cogs turning*

Mandoman below is the code I use for the Colonial Viper on my Wiki page. You should be able to adapt this by replacing with your stats, picture name etc for your Wiki page.mandoman wrote:I'm trying now to figure out how to get that Picture/Stats window to the right of the screen, like I've seen so many others have. This will give you the picture and stats box you are after.
Code: Select all
{{Semantic Infobox ShipStats Oolite
|title=Colonial Viper Mark 1
|image = [[Image:Colonial Viper Mark 1.png|250px]]
|width = 19m
|height = 12.5m
|length = 30m
|capacity = N/A
|capacityext = N/A
|maxspeed = 0.375 LM
|maneuverability = Roll: 2.3<br />Pitch: 2.1
|energybanks = 3
|energyrecharge = 3.0
|gunmounts = Fore
|missileslots = 0
|shieldboost = Yes
|milshields = Yes
|hyperspace = Yes
|isoxp = OXP
|isplayer = Yes
|baseprice = 140,000 Cr
}}

Re: MandoTech Industries, Inc.
That's awesome, thanks Shipbuilder. I've got to wait to try it, though, because the Wiki seems to be bogged down at the moment. I'll try it out as soon as I can, though. Thanks a lot.
Re: MandoTech Industries, Inc.
I got the whole thing up right, but the picture. It just shows the picture link. Is there a way to delete earlier versions of pictures? I cropped all of the originals I had on my Wiki, but when I uploaded them, the Wiki reverted back to the old version on all but two.
