i tried for along time to play "EVE" and met alot of people that thought it was much better than Elite (am ok to mention Elite here? or should it always be Oolite?".........but in the end and with the last few day reflection, even though "eve" is very pretty, i would pick Oolite/Elite over it everytime,,,and if we get multiplayer in the new elite, i might have to pack the kids of to boarding school!!! lol, curoius of your opinions? oh and rob by the way....and i`m drunk....ish....you`;; get used to that

Welcome Commander.
I played EVE, spreadsheets in space dude... way too pedantic and srs bsnz for my taste.
Oolite has that crazy maverick dogfight action you just can't beat and it's as serious or light hearted as you want... when you want.

And you can make your Ooniverse as pretty as you want in the way you want.

And you can get a beer cooler for your ship (thought you may appreciate that one) and I heard there's these awesome shipboard pets you can get for very little credits if you're lucky enough to be offered one.

Hi roboze, and welcome.
We certainly don't mind mention of Elite here - it's sort of the reason most of us are here

Feelings on multiplayer are a bit stronger though...maybe have a read here.
