Awesome! I was at the Australian Premiere, at the Gold Coast Film Festival.. I almost died laughing..
Most games have some sort of paddling-pool-and-water-wings beginning to ease you in: Oolite takes the rather more Darwinian approach of heaving you straight into the ocean, often with a brick or two in your pockets for luck. ~ Disembodied

Re: New Game - Iron Sky: Invasion
It was only shown in the UK for one day due to Iron Sky being screwed over by Revolution the UK distributor, who showed it for one day (in about 20 screens across the country) and then released the DVD the very next day.
Utterly terrible.
However, I did take the day off work and only had a 60 mile round trip to the cinema showing it in my area.
[Ah, the Gold Coast.... <sigh> I travelled down the Queensland Coast in December 1997, spent 3 fantastic nights in the Gold Coast - did my first Bungee Jump there]

Sounds not unlike my own experience.. I finished work 2 hours early, and to get to the GCFF was a good 200km round trip.. SO worth it, though!

As an aside, you can pick up the DVD in Tesco for a fiver. I did last weekend, and watched it last night (I'm on my travels again).
Certainly an interesting and entertaining movie...

I won't buy the DVD in the UK - the money goes to Revolution - when Iron Sky release their own Blu-Ray version I will buy it direct from them. They earned the cash Revolution did not.Thargoid wrote:As an aside, you can pick up the DVD in Tesco for a fiver. I did last weekend, and watched it last night (I'm on my travels again).

I watched it on Sky Anytime+ (an on demand service) a while back. It was a fun movie. Great to see a modern B-movie.
