Eruptor is a powerful ship. It has four forward facing plasma mini-turrets, and two aft plasma mini-turrets, as well as front and rear Military Lasers. The reason for this is that it is a police/navy ship. It is not a trader. It is not a pirate. It isn't even an escort. This ship was designed to cruise a planet system, find offenders, and blow them away. Period. If you want to play policeman, this could be the ship for you.

Do you really mean plasma cannons? The rubbish [wiki]Twin Plasma Cannon[/wiki] that fires slow projectiles straight forward and can be mounted instead of a laser? Or do you rather mean plasma turrets? The ones that can automatically follow a target and are independent of the laser positions?

Please note the difference between the two.

Okay, Plasma Turrets, but very tiny, and very powerful. The impossibility of making multiple firing lasers toward any particular direction makes one use creative imagination to accomplish a similar effect. I thought Plasma Cannons, powerful ones, sounded better, but you are right in that they are ball turrets.

It's okay to come up with a new name for a weapon, but you shouldn't use a name that is already taken by one of the core weapons. That's bound to add unnecessary confusion.

Okay, sorry. I don't have them listed in shipdata.plist as plasma cannons, but as ball turrets, so I don't think there will be a problem there. I'll change the wording in my intro for the release. Don't want to confuse people.
