Personalized ship textures

Is it or would it be possible to have a personalized texture for your own ship ? For example have a ship with a different texture than those available for sale at stations.

EDIT - Oops I posted this in the wrong area of the forum and don't know how to move it in to expansion packs.

The only way to do this is to create an OXP specifically for you, and buy the 'custom' ship. If you do this you can not only have a unique custom texture, but give your ship a unique name which appears under your Commander name on the F5 screen eg Cobra Mk III 'Titanic II'

Not if you play it right.
Make the OXP and add all the kit your current ship has to the 'standard equipment' part of shipyard.plist. Find out what your trade-in value is wherever you are and price it thus. Give it a TL of say One to make sure it shows up in the station shipyard where you are.
Then when you buy it you haven't 'cheated' - you've got the same spec ship for the correct price.
You will obviously need to leave the OXP installed, but once you've bought it change the TL to 99 in the shipyard.plist and it will never appear in any shipyard.

You can also just give your ship OXP a chance of 0 in the [wiki]Shipyard.plist[/wiki], once you've got it yourself.
