Elite on the Raspberry Pi

Post by drew »

Well, it's not Oolite, but until the wizards figure out how to get Oolite running on Mr. Brabens new diminutive marvel, it will just have to do. :D

My Raspberry Pi running Fuse and Elite.

Cheers,

Drew.

I just read about this Raspberry Pi on the forums about a month ago. I hadn't heard about it before that, but I have to say, it looks awesome  - totally worth the money. It's neat to see Elite running for real, since I never did have the pleasure of playing it :(. It's also great to see the Pi in action - I have a feeling its a bit on the slow side, but still.... it's a mini computer ! :D All the amazing tasks that this thing could be potentially be used for, like the previously-shared Pi in the Sky really makes me want to get one - which I plan to do in the next couple of weeks ;)

With a few more flashy lights and bigger box, that Pi kit could like [Wikipedia] Orac from [Wikipedia] Blake's 7.

Funny you should say that... a bunch of LEDs has appeared on my desk for no good reason whatsoever.
