Hi all - I thought that I would post a picture of a Python style trader ship that I am developing for future release. As usual any suggestions or comments are welcome.
Also the Chimera Gunship should be ready for release in the near future - EDIT the Chimera is now available for download (See the link in my signature strip below).
EDIT - This ship has been named a Serpent Class Cruiser and it has now been released - See the link in my signature strip.

I want one of them in my Ooniverse!
No, I want two... no three ... no four .... no loads of them!

Glad you like the look of it DredgerMan. I'd better get them in to mass production then
That would be nice, thank you.
I like the bridge section, if it is a bridge, that is. It hints of the bridge of an Imperial Star Destroyer. But seeing the number of engines in the back, and relating that to an overall size it looks like a biggun and I assume we are not talking about a 'measly' 100kT of cargo space here?
Either way, if you need my help, SB, I would love to participate even if it was as a simple tester. (Seeing the struggles I still have with getting my head around the js structures it might very well be the only way I could assist. )

Nice one! I suspect with all those engines it might be a tad faster than a Python?
Hi Smivs I've not really thought about the specifications yet other than to have in mind that this ship would be a based on a modernised version of a python style ship.
My thoughts would be for a ship perhaps somewhere between a python and anaconda in size but with some performance enhancements and additional cargo capacity compared to a python.

It is indeed intended to be a bridge DredgerMan.

I want to get the Chimera Gunship released before I get too distracted with other ships however once this is done I will be looking for a few testers. I'll PM you with a link when in a position to do so.
Also if you are interested I may look to produce the ship with a variety of textures for different roles i.e. perhaps separate textures for a trader ship, pirate ship etc. If you know your way around a graphics software package you could have a look at this.

A very nice ship-design indeed!
How big is the hull in comparison to the hull of the python?
(I have designed a python-like ship myself, the Coluber Blue Racer, but I think I will enlarge the model a little bit in the next release of the .oxp because I think it has to bee a little bigger than the python to house the necessary engines. The Blue Racer is significantly faster than a Python.)
Best regards
