...and it actually predates my membership of this forum... :shock:
When I posted the reply the "record" as you put it didn't even enter my mind. I really liked the idea of getting an Email notification every time a release was made. It was only when Lestradae mentioned it that I actually checked and and a joke of it in my sig.

But I would still like the idea to be implemented. :D
Yet saying that with none of the Devs making an appearance kind of tells me that it wont be :(

Releases already involve a great deal of fiddling.

Possibly of interest is [url=feed://www.oolite.org/updates/oolite-mac-test- ... ppcast.xml]the Mac update RSS feed[/url], which is updated by hand after verifying that the download works. At that point downloads for all platforms are usually available.
