If it's plus-z then I'm fairly certain gun turrets have turned themselves around at some stage.
This is on the nightly Linux... A gun turret that has it's gun pointing out on the positive-z axis is definitely facing backwards when I give it a quaternion of 1 0 0 0... Is this correct?
Which way are gun turrets meant to face?

Well, after applying the identity quat., it's definitely facing -Z, so maybe there's a problem with this on the present Linux build :S
EDIT: Further experimentation indicates that it may be a wider quaternion-related problem. I'm seeing behaviour for quat-placed subentities reversed on their axes, from what I was expecting, on all models. Could this cause problems for external view, if it is to use theinternal quat code of the game?
