I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

@ Commander McLane and SandJ - I have downloaded this and look forward to playing it tonight.
This is a great idea
One suggestion that you may or may not want to take on board at some stage is that you could have a level where the asteroids are replaced with derelict ships.

Thanks for the feedback!
What would happen with a derelict ship? In normal Oolite it doesn't break up into anything.
The advantage of asteroids is that they break up into boulders, which subsequently break up into splinters. This behaviour mimics well the behaviour of the old video game, where big asteroids broke up into medium sized asteroids, which broke up into small asteroids.Shipbuilder wrote:One suggestion that you may or may not want to take on board at some stage is that you could have a level where the asteroids are replaced with derelict ships.

Well, you could start off with a behemoth or something else very big with a dock, and then spawn smaller ships from that. Only two stages, but it would be something different.Commander McLane wrote:Thanks for the feedback!

You'd be left with a bunch of cargo-pods, surely..Commander McLane wrote:What would happen with a derelict ship? In normal Oolite it doesn't break up into anything.
Most games have some sort of paddling-pool-and-water-wings beginning to ease you in: Oolite takes the rather more Darwinian approach of heaving you straight into the ocean, often with a brick or two in your pockets for luck. ~ Disembodied
