Your tomato canes are bamboo, a product we associate with China and import into Europe.Smivs wrote:and something easier than "What links the cane holding up my tomatoes with a dead frog in Paraguay?" pleaseSelezen wrote:Fatleaf! Question! We demand it!!
Another product traditionally imported from China to Europe was heroin.
A major smuggling group for heroin was the French Connection, which started smuggling it in the 1930s.
Frenchman Auguste Ricord, nicknamed Il Commandante, was one of the founding members of the French Connection. He was extradited to the US and served 10 years in gaol for heroin distribution. He then returned to Paraguay and died there in 1985.
Tomato cane --> deaf frog in Paraguay.
Incidentally, a UK Google search for [ "tomato cane" heroine ] returns Marti Caine on Wikipedia as its first hit.
The film, The French Connection, tells the story of US police department narcotics detectives.
The Tomato Frog comes from Madagascar, not Paraguay. But the Cane Toad does come from Paraguay; and anyone who has tried to sleep when they are barking all night will wish them dead.

OK: name the novel that has the same title as the book being written by the protagonist of the novel, who has the same name as the author of the novel ... appropriately enough, the protagonist is caught in a time loop.

Experiments in gravity control have an unfortunate result - the Earth gets stolen! Title and author, please.

I'm quite sure that's not the answer, but I found this interesting: Man who stole a planet, in mp3, as an old radio transmission: http://www.oldtimeradiodownloads.com/my ... w-205.html which was created by Wylis Cooper: http://www.myoldradio.com/old-radio-epi ... anet-ep-58

Re: Science Fiction Trivia
Clue the first: the Earth is stolen through a wormhole, and finds itself inside a huge Dyson Sphere, along with dozens of other stolen planets.

The only author I know that talked about Dyson spheres was Larry Niven.
