Having asked a Starship Troopers question just last week, I think that should be Carmen Ibanez?

It never says. Unlike the movie, the book states quite clearly that while Rico and Ibanez were friends, they were not romantically involved. Of course the book also leaves you with the impression, without out-right saying it, that Dizzy Flores was a man.
