A new development release has been made, with all the usual gubbins (autopackage, rsync, tarball).
You can get it from the usual places:
ftp://ftp.alioth.net/oolite
http://oolite-linux.berlios.de
rsync://rsync.alioth.net/oolite/dev/Linux-x86
* NOTE * the rsync address change above.
Probably the most significant change (well, the one that's most likely to result in the game crashing!) is the removal of the dependency on GNUstep GUI. The game now only has a dependency on gnustep-base (which has also had a version bump - the dependency pack now packages up gnustep-base 1.12.0). This means Oolite is one of those rare projects whose binary installer has actually shrunk by a couple of megs. This should make it considerably easier to package too, since it's no longer necessary to do things to keep GNUstep backend happy.
New development release 1.65-dev2

Woohoo!!
Hopefully I'll get a chance to be back on the builds today, and having less GNUstep can only be a good thing

Looks like keyboard input for mission dialogs is broken - arrow keys do not workwinston wrote:A new development release has been made, with all the usual gubbins (autopackage, rsync, tarball).
