I do have an embryonic idea for a sequel And unlike some movie franchises I would want it to be at least as good as the original, if not better. I'm glad you like it, and as you say there is some good stuff there which could be used to continue the storyline...
However what I have in mind will depend on a few of the features currently being tested in trunk to find their way into the main game . Xeptatl's Sword took me and the team almost a year to create, so it will be a while yet.

Please don't rush for any reason, if it took a year ast time then take as long as you need! But its good to hear that this hopefully won't be the last we hear of the Xeptatl Society...
I became found of and addicted to Xeptail's Sword! I finnished the mission today morning, and I think it was really a great mission! Thanks, Smivs and all the people in the project, for such an good amusement! And yes, I would like to see the Xeptatl's part two, and I have a suggestion, if I may. What if it had a fake station destruction part, and a Constrictor to deal with? I remember someone mentioned that in Elite someone could get a level over Elite by destroying a station. What if the thargoyds built and launched a fake planet station to make players believe it was real? Or better, what if they dominate a planet station forcing the player to destroy it? Well, just daydreaming here, I am sure that when the second part of the mission is released it will be as great or greater then the first and epic one. I also thought I would go through the whole mission again and try to write a story about it, from the beggining to the end. Well, if I do this, I will sure publish it for free here, and in the Oolite wiki. But I can't promise that, it was just a dream I had here.
And here, a picture of one stop that gave me a little help:
Thanks for the feedback marcusrg, and I'm glad you liked it.
It seems I'm going to have as many suggested sequels as there are people who have finished the mission , but that's a good thing. It's usually a sign that something is right if people want more. As I said I have a rough idea of the storyline in my head, but nothing firm by way of details, so keep the suggestions coming.

Stop getting all excited, everybody!
All I said was I had a loose idea for a storyline for a sequel, and it is something I'd like to do, but not soon. My current projects and commitments are going to keep me busy for a while yet.
