Lonesome George is dead

Lonesome George, arguably the most famous tortoise ever, has sadly passed away.
Aged around 100 he was the last surviving member of the La Pinta subspecies of the Galapagos Islands' giant tortoises, and as such had become a conservation icon.
Commander Smivs, the friendliest Gourd this side of Riedquat.
