Oolite~1.76.1-how do I repair equipment tagged as N/A?

Post by GI Dink »

I tried searching for this but i never found anything about it. I think its cause the term N/A is not searchable. how do you repair these items when damaged and have an N/A?

When you dock (best to go for a main station), you'll be offered the chance to repair any damaged equipment on the F3 screen – assuming the station is in a system with a high enough tech level. Check the [wiki]Oolite Equipment[/wiki] table for tech levels.

Shouldn't the cloak be on that list now?

This lists standard equipment (non-OXP) available to all players. Items may sometimes be available at stations slightly below the normal tech level listed here.
Probably not: it's not standard, nor available to all players. Although the same is true of the Naval Energy Unit, I suppose – although it's not really "secret" in the same way that the cloak is.

I thought that referring to that item openly was a spoiler? I'm always surprised to see it discussed openly.

I'm sure most players have heard of it. The spoilers come when you start discussing how/where/when you might get one. In that sense it is no different to the NEU.

Well it IS if you're in a particular place! It is much easier to come by than the Naval Energy Unit.

It is mentioned here openly enough and the conditions to trigger it!
