Wow, I read all the books of this series! I think is one of the best sci-fi books I have ever read! And there was a game, also, I played it... it was a windows game, adventure kind... nice to play.Pleb wrote:Rendezvous with Rama by Arthur C. Clarke?

Re: Science Fiction Trivia
agree. While it almost gets too long in the tooth in the end, wow, what a ride these novels. Very depressing and uplifiting at times. The Rama-game, you can still play it as an emulation (originally it came on an Apple II, I didn't have money for such a fancy machine at the time, but remember reading the reviews... And really longing to play it, siiiiiigh.
Re: Science Fiction Trivia
I played Rama in a windows 98 pc, a long time ago... I don't know if there is an emulator to run it in linux ubuntu.. It would be nice to re-play it.

It's a shame Steven Spielberg's Close Encounters of the Third Kind started out as a film, otherwise that would fit.Pleb wrote:A group of aliens with musical talent make an appearance on Earth and then disappear...

Re: Science Fiction Trivia
That was the first thing I thought of and did a little looking to see if it was novelised. But didn't find that to be the case!SandJ wrote:It's a shame Steven Spielberg's Close Encounters of the Third Kind started out as a film, otherwise that would fit.
