Most games have some sort of paddling-pool-and-water-wings beginning to ease you in: Oolite takes the rather more Darwinian approach of heaving you straight into the ocean, often with a brick or two in your pockets for luck. ~ Disembodied

The launch team is safing the rocket and Dragon spacecraft after this morning's abort.
0856 GMT (4:56 a.m. EDT)
It's not clear what caused the abort just before liftoff, but this will mean Falcon 9 will not launch today. The rocket had a near-instantaneous launch window in which it could fly today.
0855 GMT (4:55 a.m. EDT)
ABORT. The ignition sequence started, but there was a countdown cutoff before launch.

Actually, the first time a commercial company launched a spacecraft to the ISS was in 2008, when Arianespace launched the Jules Verne ATV. However, the ATV itself was developed and operated by the ESA. The Dragon will be the first commercially operated spacecraft to dock with the ISS. Successfully launched today, and the Dragon module is now in orbit. Docking with the ISS is scheduled for 25th.

Dragon has been captured by the ISS's Canadarm robot arm.
Next step is to move the Dragon to dock it on the station's Harmony node.

Dragon is on its way home. Deorbit burn completed sucessfully. Splashdown due in about 42 minutes from now.
