The Boa Pitbull and Rottweiller are from my ToughGuys 2 OXP and the 'Griff' version is intended for the Griff all-in-one package. These will not work without this OXP installed or if the individual Griff downloads are used.
I am using Tough guys apocalypse. Will it work with it? If it will, I'll put it in there. :)
1) Extract the files from the Deepspace Ships "non override config" zip and replace the Config folder with the one from the zip folder.
OK, I've done that, folder config now contains 4 files oolite-font.plist (8kb) shipyard.plist (76kb) shipyard.plist (9kb) and demoships.plist (1kb).
Deepspace ships has been available in this format for a long while, was released with no license, and the original author has proved to be difficult to contact. In order for another OXPer to repackage the OXP to a more friendly format (and fix some of the texture bugs in the OXP, and/or improve some of the textures with new Oolite features available) that person would need explicit permission from the author. So far I don't think anyone has been successful in contacting the original author to get that permission. There is also the complication that the author set up a website for the OXP which points to the original download. We can't change that website.
Thanks for clarifying that point. Indeed, I was a bit confused with the fact that I didn't see "addition" oxps named as such.

Hi, Quick run through the list, but I've struck through entries that I think are likely to be causing further conflicts (I may be wrong). Toughguys standard version should use Griff's ships because the replace version makes it think they are the core ships. I can't be sure but I'd expect having 3 versions installed would cause conflicts - Smivs?

Marked a couple more than definitely need an upgrade - there may be more.

Thank you for going into all that trouble to help.

I'll look into that, although there doesn't seem to be a noticeable problem at this point.

<Smivs hides> :P

I think unless things have changed that Griff's 'replace' uses a shipdata_overrides.plist to set the standard roles to 'none' or something similar. If this is the case standard TG2 may not work at all, as it refers to standard ship names (Anaconda etc)..
The problem is TG2 was never designed with multiple shipset use in mind, and of course pre-dates the 'add' and 'replace' versions of all the shipsets. TBH I'm not even sure the for-Smivs' version works with the 'add' version of my shipset which was introduced with v4.0. It probably doesn't
This is a subject I will look at soon when I get a moment, but for now it's a case of 'try it and see what happens'.
