Hi!
I'm new to Oolite and I already absolutely love this game. The job you're doing with all the OXP is simply amazing.
Here's my suggestion: I sunskim a lot and I have noticed that all the stars look the same. However, in the Universe there are giant red stars, brown dwarf stars and so on. It would be great to have suns of different sizes and colours. Is it doable?
And while you're at it, maybe we could have solar flares and other cool stuff.

Re: Different Suns
They do have different sizes and colours. No flares, though… except in special circumstances.

Re: Different Suns
Thank you for the quick reply.
I was thinking about the 'suns', the star that is near each planet. Now that you mention it think I can see a small difference. I hadn't noticed until now. Perhaps it could be made more evident.

Re: Different Suns
Hi Agis Silverfish, and welcome aboard! The varying sun colours are subtle, but they are there.
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

hej, welcome aboard.
To notice the different sizes of suns, go sunskimming in a (very) slow ship with no injector-fuel left.
You'll know when you met a "big" sun.

Re: Different Suns
Imagine that you get to a system with a dwarf star and everything gets darker. Or a system with a binary red and blue star, where light would combine into purple in some areas... That would be awesome.

Re: Different Suns
Welcome Agis. I suggest you get the Tianve OXP, then go to see the famous Tianve pulsar.
