it is quite graceful.
I think Giles has mentioned intentions to look back into the demoships code at some point but it can't be up there on the magic beanstalk list.

I must admit I kinda like the illusion of travel in the ArcElite demoships sequence, caused by space dandruff whizzing by..

I just always found the versions where there is a simple spin to be dull, you never see the ship from all angles.

ideally, if we're wishing out loud, it would be nice to be able to 'hold on' to a model for as long as desired and affect the direction of the spin..

As it was in Amiga. You could either look at the automatic spin or stop it by touching the cursor keys and then spin the ship how ever you liked to (or just putting it in a proper angle for a screenshot to be used elsewhere...).

I'd like that option as well, but there are other more important things around, of course... :)

Hmm... it shouldn’t be hard to adapt the virtual trackball code from the Dry Dock source so that the object keeps spinning.

Although I personally feel the quickest way to make the ship rotation look more interesting would be to have lighting…
