... but at least I saved myself the embarassment of creating an official error report about it. I am writing about it here though so maybe that's about as embarassing.
I have Griff's Shipset in my AddOns folder as well as Random Hits (amongst others).
I visited the “The Wanted Dead or Alive” at Usceza where I accepted a contract someone in the Edsodi system.
After fulfilling the contract I went on to the main station where I “instant docked” using the docking computer, collected my bounty. It wasn’t until I left the station and looked back with my aft view that I thought Griff’s texture had been removed from the station and the default grey station was in its place.
I methodically went through my OXP folder and removed then replaced them to see if the textures came back but they didn’t. I did notice though that when I used either a new commander or any other previously saved game that the texture of the main station was not affected.
I used the Seedy Space Bar chat area to discuss the issue with some people (whose usernames I have forgotten - sorry) and in the morning I confirmed what I had thought from the night before that meeting my mark still affected the texture after I had completed the contact. Using a previous save file from before I accepted the contract to get a new hit did not affect Griff’s textures when I completed the contract (in a different system)..
Now I realise (on revisiting Edsodi and also re-reading the Wiki page for Griff's Shipset) that this is not an issue at all and in fact I was at an Icosahedral station. Griff's shipset doesn't cover either these stations or Dodecahedral stations.
I do like Griff's textures and hope that at some stage his replacement textures for the Icosahedral and Dodecahedral stations will be available. If not is there anything I can use to replace the boring grey of these stations to bring more life to them?
On a side note I have an issue with Griff's Boa OXP if I use it with the Shipset in my AddOn folder crashing Oolite. I did look at the script for the shipdata plist file in Griff's Shipset and it already has a Boa in there. Could the duplication of the Boa in the shipset and Griff's Boa OXP be the reason Oolite crashes if both OXPs are in my AddOn folder because I don't want to be a bigger muppet by raising an un-neccesary crash report if I don't need to.
On a further side note. I am currently flying a Boa Class Crusier but the texture when I look at the external view remains the default. Does Griff's shipset actually support the Boa Class Cruiser (as I said earlier the plist does have the Boa in it) and if so how do I set it to replaced my ship?
Thanks to everyone who makes this game even more awesome and the patient people who frequent the Seedy Space Bar.

Try here for other Griffified station designs by Dertien.
https://bb.oolite.space/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=9306.
The complex Griff Boa can coexist along with the standard Griff shipset Boa no problem as their shipdata.plist lists them as differently named models. But it is graphically complex so could be a issue in it's own right.
Griff's all-in-one doesn't actually replace the standard ships, so that is why you are still flying the same ship as you were flying prior to installation. Griff's version is called "griff_normalmapped_boa-mk2_player" in shipdata.plist, the original is "boa-mk2-player".
You'll need to either
1) buy the griff version in game,
2) edit your save file (change
3) adapt one of the make default player ship Griff Cobra OXP's (which are available on Griffs wiki page) to like_ship the "boa-mk2-player" to "griff_normalmapped_boa-mk2_player".

Thanks Captain, I owe you a drink at the nearest Seedy Space Bar. I'll have to clear the 4 Cr bounty off my head first though, the last one I tried visiting didn't like me being there and ran me out...
I've downloaded the stations from the link you gave and I'll try them out later. I'll try editing my save file too to get the standard Griff Boa.
If the complex Griff Boa is so graphic heavy that could be why it's affecting the ability of my machine to load it and crashing Oolite but do you think it''s worth me reporting it as a crash on BerliOS Developer?

I recommend the [wiki]P.A._Groove_Stations_OXP[/wiki]. Easy to intall, beautiful to look at.

If you have the all-in-1 bundle oxp ( http://deephorizonindustries.com/griffi ... 1.2.21.zip )
then the only standalone oxp's you'll need from my box account ( http://www.box.com/shared/rpkms25cc9 ) are the rock hermit, the alternative coriolis 2, the alternative cobra III and, um, *unsure* possibly the alloys_and_wreckage - these extra oxp's are all quite texture and polygon heavy so might be worth skipping installing unless you have a fairly fast graphics card in your computer, all the other ships are in the all-in-1 bundle
I don't know why the standalone boa oxp is crashing oolite, it's highly likely that i've left a bug in a shader or something, i'll have a look into it - just to check, we're not talking about the griff prototype boa oxp here are we?( https://bb.oolite.space/viewtopic.ph ... =griff+boa ) - i did indeed update that a few weeks ago - so maybe i have made a mistake in it somewhere

Hi Griff
The standalone Boa OXP is indeed the Griff Prototype OXP (griff_boa_prototype_normalmapped.oxp) that I downloaded from the Wiki OXP list.
I'll see how my computer holds up with what I already have on it and may try installing the other standalones.
Out of interest I am running a Lenovo Ideapad with an Intel Core2 Duo CPU at 2GHz with 4GB RAM. Not sure what the Graphics card is. I am using Windows Vista.

Re: I feel a right Muppet...
These Dodo stations fit the Griff Ooniverse nicely... and Griff is currently working on a new Dodo.
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!
