More Elite 4 stuff

Post by Killer Wolf »

not sure if this has been posted, it's dated July '11 and the Wiki "rumour mill" only lists a Feb article

some of the comments were amusing though.

I played Elite as a spotty teenager.

The computer I played it on got worn out and its replacement was left in the loft of my 2nd house.

Since then I have married, started a Limited Company, run it for 16 years and then shut it down again.

My brother is now a grandfather and I am a grand-uncle many times over.

The Star Wars trilogy became nine films long.

Three attempts have been made at filming The Lord of the Rings, and at least one of those was completed.

I do not believe Elite IV will occur in my lifetime ... I'm already in my mid-40s.

Here's a "I believe" song from that era.

That is a very beautifully way of putting "aspirational vapourware"

:)

Long time since I saw them, and I don't necessarily disagree. It's their connection to the Star Wars universe which bothers my. They don't fit in in my view, and were poor attempts at milking some more money out of the franchise.

Ah, thanks. For full disclosure, I haven't even seen the prequels, except in this form, which may be considerably better than the films themselves.

Ditto... the original trilogy was enough for me!
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

You forgot yet another Star Wars epos.

The Star Wars Christmas Special!

It really existed, and George Lucas really pulled it as it was too horrible to behold for even the hardest SW fans.

Who still wants a sneak peak at it look here - prepare tissues and don't drink anything while you watch. In fact, perhaps you should drink heavily before you watch.

You have been warned. This piece of art apesh*te can be found here:

As far as I'm concerned Oolite >= Elite 4.

Cheers,

Drew.

Makes sense, given that
  1. Oolite = 1.76
and
  1. Elite 4 = 0
then
  1. Oolite > Elite 4
ergo
  1. Oolite >= Elite 4
QED.
8)

BTW, should threads about Elite 4 be in the 'Fiction' forum?
