Hi all,
I have a suggestion, which may well have come up before, but I couldn't see it after a cursory look around...
How about keeping a record of more detailed statistics, such as:
- shooting accuracy (percentage of laser shots on target)
- number of kills using particular weapons (laser type and orientation, missile type, bomb type)
- number of different types of ship killed
- number of clean/offender/fugitive/cops killed
- quantity of each type of cargo bought/sold/salvaged
- distance travelled
- number of missiles destroyed
- number of times killed and restarted
- some sort of plot of progress around the galaxy
I'm sure there's more, but I must get back to work...
Cheers,
Nels

Hi Nels, welcome to the friendliest forum this side of Riedquat! (we don't talk about the other side of Riedquat ...).
I think this has come up in the past, in some form or another, but it's no reason not to discuss it again. These things often inspire our various OXPloons developers to come up with all manner of fancy tricks ... for example, with reference to

you could take a look at the Explorers' Club OXP.mtdnelson wrote:some sort of plot of progress around the galaxy

Hej,
welcome to thefriendliest most digressive forum this side of Riedquat! anywhere.
Nice ideas, I bet those data would hold some surprises.

The only two of those you couldn't do are
- shooting accuracy (percentage of laser shots on target)
- number of times killed and restarted
We have no triggered event for when you fire a laser, so no way to tell when a shot is fired to check if it hit or not. Also when you're killed, the last save game is reloaded, so everything gets reset back to the values then. I don't think it would be easy to keep a track from save to save like that.
All of the others are do-able by OXP though, to varying degrees at least.

Hi there, thanks!
That Explorers' Club OXP does look interesting...

I did think that might be the case. I thought it was worth including them anyway, for the sake of completeness (and you never know, someone might feel inspired to incorporate them into a new version further down the line...)The only two of those you couldn't do are
