I did ponder during the proof-read for dove vs dived. But I looked it up on a few places in the t'internet and dove came out as an acceptable usage. So from my input it went through.
dove n 1 a bird with a heavy body, small head, and short legs (sounds like an old girlfriend :( ) 2 Politics a person opposed to war. [Old English]

I think the use of dove as a verb is probably what's known as "An Americanism"

Thanks for that!

In theory then, an American ornithologist could write "the dove dove" :P

Neither of them sound right to me, so I'm playing the stylistic card. 8)

Given her propensity for losing her clothes in Finis, I'm not sure I want to know which hair...

Err, is that seven pints or two so far? (Distain wasn't in my copy so you're not getting a pint for that one).....
Ditto here. Tell you what Drew, I can't deliver your pints in person so for each typo found, reported and verified in the first week after release, I'll make an AUD5 donation. I'm calling it $10 so far.
Fab, Bugbear!

Yep, scrap the beers, a donation to charity would be much more appropriate!

You know those who, having been mugged and stabbed, fired, dog run over, house burned down, wife eloped with best friend, daughters becoming prostitutes and their countries invaded - still say that "all is well"?
I'm obviously not one of them.

Speaking of going further, as you are something of a connoisseur of elite fiction; I was wondering if I could have a chat with you after christmas regarding prequels. Namely brainstorming some detail into the early timeline.

As you feel.

Drew, you did notice the Ooniverse is actually rife with absurdly cute creatures, right? Plenty to choose from, too - Furry Felines, Blue Avians, even the trumbles are exceedingly cute (at least until they start eating your cargo, that is).

...or is this pet hate (pun intended) of yours the real reason why you wrote Finis?
