I've just started Oolite up and loaded up from where I last saved it which would have been at a space station (Anve in G1), and I appear to be docked at a cargo container! I can't access anything on buttons 3 or 8, and 2 doesn't give me a save option. At least I've got enough fuel to hyperspace somewhere else.

When I press 1 I get a view out of the front (no launch sequence) and none of the ships controls work.

Sadly I can't get it to repeat the problem and have moved on from there.

I know of a radar installation were you can dock

In one of the slave missions in ups you must destroy a radar installation on the planet surface. But when you launch an escape pod near the installation, you dock inside the radars instead of the main station. You do get a mission screen that you are captured as slave and can not escape alive When a brave pilot does manage to launch, he will notice that he launches into the surface and is dead ✞

But maybe that is preferable over eternal slavery?

Of course! Besides, you can always start the mission again in an alternate reality caused when you load a saved game.
