If it's a bug, it shouldn't be affected by the feature freeze...
Probably you are right. I had the fix in my head for some time, and now I coded it up. ALL launching traders that have a sunSkimmer role in their role list will get a proper heat insulation on launch, and not only those immediately heading for the sun.
Than I created a new command for the enteringTrader.plist that allows to check if it is proper isolated. Only if true, they will start sunskimming. That will fix the last bad occasion when someone follow a launching trader through its wormhole and than goes sunskimming. A bit of a disappointment when the ship just burns up after prolonged following
The fix will be in tonights nighty. Keep in mind that when following a launching trader, only one out of three will start sunskimming. It works now correct and I could now follow the trader through its two wormholes. (entering the system where he sunskimmed and exiting it again inside the suns corona). Just one hint: when the player has heat shielding, the value is always 2. For npc ships it will be more like 3 to 4 and for a slow anaconda more like 7. So really following at the speed of the ships will be tricky. The player has to wait at greater distance and only dive into the corona when the ship is about to generate its wormhole.
I am still awaiting a nice screenshot of a player who managed to enter such a wormhole without cheating. (I cheated by keeping my temperature low with console commands during the tests, like below).

Take an idea from one person and twist or modify it in a different way as a return suggestion so another person can see a part of it that can apply to the oxp they are working on.
