Running Elite on BBC micro emulator

Post by RyanHoots »

I'm trying to get Elite working on an emulator, but I've hit a problem. I can't find an emulator. I'm running Linux, a platform Horizon doesn't support. So, I have two solutions in mind:
1. Running Horizon in a windows emulator (speed loss, but would it matter much in the original Elite?)
2. Finding a different emulator
Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.
Horizon's website is at http://www.ookster.plus.com (sorry, I couldn't get a direct link to the Horizon page)

Ryan,
Did you try a quick Google for "linux bbc b emulator". this produces a series of free BBC B emulators which claim to run all sorts of things.
64bit Mint 10 and Win 8 64bit on E8400 at 3.6GHz - ATI HD5750 graphics.
