Take an idea from one person and twist or modify it in a different way as a return suggestion so another person can see a part of it that can apply to the oxp they are working on.

It's Mr. Bell he's talking about, he registered as ibell on January 16 but never posted... and if Mr. Braben was here, I'd at least refrain from asking about Elite 4 - even if I want it as much as the next Commander.
You know those who, having been mugged and stabbed, fired, dog run over, house burned down, wife eloped with best friend, daughters becoming prostitutes and their countries invaded - still say that "all is well"?
I'm obviously not one of them.

Is it possible to lurk any other way? Or having said that, as you know it's him, it's hardly anonymousCommonSenseOTB wrote:If you were Mr. Braben wouldn't you lurk anonymously?

Re: Oolite Saga on Amazon?
This is a topic that comes up off and on. The last time it was surrounding the Ebay member who was selling Oolite. I got a reply from the SGA, when I asked this question: "What are the chances of them not knowing about our little community right here? One way to find out how they feel about it is to ask them their position."
As if we were a problem they would have done something about it by now. Their silence alone shows that they, at least tolerate our existence. So lets not poke the sleeping giant with a stick
And I tend to agree.Ahruman wrote:People have asked. They don’t answer. Asking in a louder voice would be a severe case of not taking the hint.

Re: Oolite Saga on Amazon?
To bring this all back to the original point then...
At some point I *will* proceed to upload the Oolite Saga to Amazon. (Probably early 2012)
I will notify here in the community when this is occurring.
I will ask for folks to email in to assure the price is set to £0.00
If I get any grief from Amazon I will resolve immediately or withdraw the stories
If I get any requirements/directives from the 'powers that be' I will comply immediately in order to protect Oolite and the community.
Cheers,
Drew.

Ownership of Rainwater
Dear Mr *****
Thank you for your email of 1 November 2011.
After reading you email I have made some enquiries into the points you have
raised. Firstly, I like to
confirm that we do not charge extra to customers who wish to use any form
of rainwater collecting
devices such as water butts. As they can store run-off rainwater from roofs
of houses, greenhouses
and shed. This can be used to save a great deal of tap water for use in
your garden.
Also, we do not at any point own rainwater. We have facility's to collect
and abstract ground water, so
this can be treated to provide our customers with clean water throughout
our network. However, at no
point do we take ownership of water.
I hope this information is of assistance, however, if you have any
questions regarding the above
matter, please feel free contact me on 08457 200897, extension 69590. Our
offices are open
between the hours of 8am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.
Yours sincerely

Re: Oolite Saga on Amazon?
Nice to know that our ever-rising water bills are just because it takes ever more amounts of cash for them to get this nice free stuff to us, isn't it? They must be lining the pipes with ten pound notes to stop them leaking...

Re: Oolite Saga on Amazon?
Well that's good to know, which means my friend down in Somerset (just outside Thames water it turns out) was sold a pup by somebody - I shall let him know. I'd still like to know why my next door neighbour pays more for his water than I do for an identical house, especially as I don't have a soakaway and he does...ClymAngus wrote:I'm digging in a harvesting tank. bit of silver and an inspection hatch for occasional cleaning and uv'ing any nasties.

Well, I heard that a few years ago in Germany they tried to overtax wind and solar generators, the Green Party blew it to the press and the subsequent upheaval nearly destroyed the government.Gimi wrote:This is a relief. The world is a little less mad.ClymAngus wrote:Heard back from Thames water:
