Split: Becoming clean again - how?

Having not played the game for 25 years I've forgotten how to regain my 'clean' (wasn't me gov, honest!)
Anyone any better ideas than esc?

Jumping out of a system will cut your current bouty by half; repeat as needed. Beware, adding the Anarchies OXP makes it much harder to loose the heat - but opens other opportunities...

Hi, WhiteSnakeTinston, welcome to the boards! Probably this query should be split off into its own thread, but I can't figure out if I can do that or not ... in the meantime, there are two quick routes and one slow one to a Clean rating (barring any OXP wangles like, for instance, certain services on offer in the Anarchies.oxp). Quick route 1: use an escape pod (but sell your cargo first). Quick route 2: jump to a new Galaxy. Slow route: just keep on jumping, keep clear of GalCop, and don't commit any more crimes (at least not where people can see you ...): eventually the Co-operative's statute of limitations will kick in and you'll be all square with John Law!

The ranks on the board are not tied to your Oolite/Elite Rating - how could they be?

As you can see, some of us don't have Elite rankings any more at all...
