Bug in [wiki] tag

Post by maik »

I was just trying to link to Switeck's Shipping OXP but could not use the wiki nor wiki= tags due to the apostrophe (') character in the page title. Using %27 in it's stead also did not help. Is that a bug that can be fixed?

Does %92 work?

[wiki]Disembodied%92s proposal[/wiki] does not work. Would have been surprising though, the URL of the wiki page uses %27 for encoding that character.

Beyond changing the title to "The Shipping OXP of Switeck", I'm out of ideas! :)

:D

The workaround is to use the url tag. It is really just cosmetic, the nice icon next to links to the wiki is missing then.

The reply in the other thread works fine. Well, when I click on it the correct page in the Wiki opens.

Sure. I used the url tag when the wiki tag did not work in preview.

If you want to link to a particular section in a wiki page then you need to do the same kind of trick - which may may be a related point to this...

At worst, it could be renamed to Switeck Shipping OXP...though internally it will still be called Switeck's Shipping OXP.

Just as ugly a "solution" - before renaming the main Switeck's Shipping page maybe create a redirect page Switeck Shipping -> Switeck's Shipping.

Not sure, but I think you can even add the #section of the real Switeck's Shipping article to the URL of the redirect page, so that Switeck Shipping#AI Changes should still work.

The problem with the tag here in the BB is IMHO not important enough to rename an OXP. As explained above, there is a workaround with only cosmetic consequences.
