Hi everyone

Post by Palyar Commander »

Just wanted to say hello to everyone here.

Have been playing Elite in its various forms since it was released on the Commodore 64, plus Frontier, FFE, X-Wing, Tie Fighter, Privateer, the Wing Commander Series, Jumpgate and Eve Online, and probably others I've forgotten!

Started playing Oolite around 3 years ago, but didn't fully grasp the scope and new content offered by the OXPs, and stopped playing shortly after completing the 'native' missions.

Am now back, thoroughly enjoying the game once again, fiddling around with various textures, HUDs, the expanded missions and flying around the Tionisla Orbital Graveyard (which I spent many fruitless hours searching for as a youngster). Am awed at, and hugely grateful for, all of the work that people have put into making and developing this game.

Safe flying all.

Welcome aboard, Palyar Commander... Oolite has improved greatly in the last three years, but it still retains that 'old magic'.
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

As my father used to say, if you have a quality be proud of it. Let that help define you, whatever it is because you can't run from yourself. :)

"Every man, residing in a strange land should have ; a map, a flint, a blade and a meal. If not for survival, then at least for comfort" Anon.

I supply the map.
