Thanks Captain Beatnik,
Your diagnostic help is very much appreciated.
The mac does show issues which get by Windows and Linux. I have corrected the plist and re-uploaded so hopefully the download is now reliable across all platforms.
Enjoy!
Smivs.

Really fab work Smivs. Love the new station textures, especially the docking bay. Will be doing more manual docking now for certain. Many thanks.

I just wanted to say thanks to everybody for the positive response I've had to this re-launch. It's nice to have your work appreciated, and it's a good feeling to know that I've added a little bit to people's enjoyment of our game.
Since release 10 days ago 184 have been downloaded, which is a pretty good start, I think. Thanks to you all.

v2.1 is now available. This is a minor cosmetic update.
The main emphasis has been on the station docks which are even nicer than before after a bit of detailing. The truth is the docks were a bit of an afterthought when I released v2.0 - I literally knocked them up on the morning before release - so a tidy-up is long overdue. I have also added some extra flashers to the dock corners.
There has also been a bit of detail work on the stations, all of which had little defects that I was starting to find annoying.
The 'scarred alloy' texture has also been replaced.

Thanks Richard,
Yes it's a silly c&p error in the shipdata.plist
Line 892 reads

Code: Select all

model = "smivs-smivs-strut.dat";
and as you can see it's got an extra 'smivs-'. It should read

Code: Select all

model = "smivs-strut.dat";
Just make that change if you want to fix it, or re-download - I've fixed the download now.
In practise it doesn't really matter much. The struts are just the little support thingies underneath Rock Hermits.

Hi! Is it possible to have the accessories also in separated packages? I would like to integrate your different rock hermits, asteroids and buoy in my ooniverse, without overriding cargos, missiles, plates and stations. :)

Hi Tichy,
I can see why you ask, but the problem is what would I group?
There may be a case for lumping together the stations and rock hermits as they are all dockable (which isn't what you want!), and possibly the smaller items (cargo pods, alloys, missiles etc) but again this is not what you are asking for.
Also I had previously thought about releasing the stations as a seperate pack as there does seem a demand for station OXPs, and the normal-mapped versions I am slowly working on are showing a lot of promise.
And of course if I did issue a range of OXPs consisting of groups of items from accessories I would end up with several more OXPs to maintain :(
TBH the best idea I can come up with is to suggest that you edit the existing OXP to disable the items you don't want. Probably the easiest way to do this is to remove the items that are not required from shipdata.plist. I think you know your way around these things so should be able to do this easily enough, but you are welcome to PM me if you need any help with this.

No problem I'll try to extract a stripped down version with the things I need. I hope to not go crazy with those big .plist files. Anyway, I'll try. ;)

Done. :)
It was easier than I thought. I made three separate oxps. One with the rocks (asteroids, boulders and splinters), one with the rock hermits and one with the buoy. I like the result. It fits well in my setup. :)
I think that every oxp maker have now a place in my ooniverse :D
Uuuh! I just remembered that I have to add the space pizzas :lol:
