Three winged reptiles surreptitiously hijacked a forum thread, apparently started by a certain Commander Xairon.
Said Commander has since been reported missing, and despite all of our efforts he could not be reached for further comments.
Witnesses who requested that their names be not disclosed told our reporters that other passers-by, with apparently nothing better to do, joined the initial hijackers and reportedly had a lot of fun discussing reptilian matters.
From what little evidence we could gather, it would appear that the initial objective of Cmd. Xairon, which ended up totally misrepresented by the unabashed hijackers, was somewhat related to some inquiry about the opposing sex, and seemingly not related at all with reptilian races.
We'll keep you posted as soon as more reliable info can be scooped.
Better make that two. Just as well, wings are rather pointless in a vacuum, and tend to get in the way in the cramped quarters of a spacecraft. Ask any avian.

Definitely agreed, however, that Oolite is not "just a shooter" game. But it would be very interesting someday to see what it could be like if even half of the attention and effort that has gone into the combat related functions was expended on the economic and cultural possibilities.
